The Carolina Panthers are wrapping up their private visits with the top 2023 quarterback prospects. Ohio State's CJ Stroud and Kentucky's Will Levis will visit with the team next week.
The Panthers have also met with Florida's Anthony Richardson and Bryce Young from Alabama and have attended all of the top prospects' Pro Days. Carolina will have their choie of quarterbacks with the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft in two weeks. Young is currently the favorite, but we all know it's #lyingseason. more qb news:

New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has refused to say who the starting quarterback will be come September and rumors have been swirling all offseason that Mac Jones is on the outs with the team. The potential savior? Bailey Zappe. Zappe says he's ready for the challenge come training camp.
Zappe played four games last season and you could argue that he looked better amidst the Matt Patricia Experiment than Jones did. Zappe threw five touchdowns and three interceptions, with a 100.9 passer rating. It's a small sample size, but if the Patriots are serious about opening up a competition this summer, Zappe is ready for it. More qb news:
The New York Jets are supposed to sign Aaron Rodgers eventually, but we're still waiting. As things stand right now, Rodgers has said he intends to be shipped off to New Jersey, but... we're still waiting. As things stand right now, Rodgers worked out with former and future teammate Allen Lazard recently, who was on Rodgers' rumored 'list' of players he wanted the Jets to sign before he came aboard.
Further, Jets GM Joe Douglas said on Friday night, "he's gonna be here," in response to a question regarding Rodgers' status.
So, in other words, we still don't know. more QB news:
Bill Belichick hasn't yet committed to QB Mac Jones starting for the New England Patriots in 2023. I think he's just being Belichick, but others seem to think the tension between the two is real.
We all saw Jones scream on the sideline many times, frustrated. As he had a right to when you make your defensive coordinator your offensive coordinator (?). Jones wasn't bad his rookie season and then went through a dramatic second year as a pawn in the Matt Patricia experiment.
I know Belichick is controlling, but he's not dumb. Let Jones have another year with an actual OC before you ship him off elsewhere. Speaking of, a report also surfaced on Tuesday that Belichick shopped Jones to teams including Washington, Tennessee and Vegas. I'm not so sure about that. more QB news:
Former MVP (see how we can use that whenever we want? and Carolina Panthers/New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton threw more than 30 passes on Tuesday at Auburn's Pro Day. Newton obviously is looking for a return to the NFL, as he hasn't played since 2021. Newton was also showcasing his brother, Caylin Newton, a wide receiver.

He finally said it. Aaron Rodgers stated on The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday that his intention is to play for the New York Jets. The question is, when? Whenever the Jets and the Green Bay Packers work out the compensation. There were rumors that Green Bay was seeking multiple first-round picks for the almost 40-year-old QB, but those were redacted, saying both sides were still negociating. Then, there was talk of a supposed "wish list" - Rodgers had a list of guys (allegedly) that he wanted the Jets to look into and potentially sign. Not true, he said. (To a point - former Packers WR Allen Lazard signed with the Jets on Tuesday.) Some other fun nuggets from his appearance - Rodgers went into his infamous "darkness retreat" 90% sure he would retire. He explained he came out of his meditation fest thinking that the Packers no longer were interested in his services, and decided the chip on his shoulder was way too big and he wanted to continue playing, but elsewhere. Rodgers also mentioned that one of the main reasons he picked the Jets (other than that it appears no one else is that interested) was new offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, whom he previously worked with in GB. That one spot elsewhere appears to be New York, or New Jersey. Whichever. And it's a matter of when, not if. more QB news:

Amongst some players (coughcough LeSean McCoy) talking about Eric Bieniemy's lack of influence in the Kansas City Chiefs offense, quarterback Patrick Mahomes took to Twitter to defend his former offensive coordinator.
More Qb News:
As expected, the Las Vegas Raiders informed Derek Carr of his release. As a result, Carr will get a head start in free agency and is expected to have a heavy market. Carr previously met with the New Orleans Saints and should visit with more teams before deciding. The Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Tennessee Titans are also expected to be interested in Carr. The move also frees up $29 million in cap space, which the Raiders may need to get a new quarterback.

The Kansas City Chiefs are Super Bowl Champions. Again. And Patrick Mahomes is Super Bowl MVP. Again. After winning the league's Most Valuable Player Award on Thursday, Mahomes is the first player to win both in the same season since 1999. He's also the first regular-season passing yards leader to win the Super Bowl. Mahomes completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns. On a bum ankle. And added an additional 44 yards rushing. more QB News:
