No cheerleaders allowed on the field in 2020

Not a secret that 2020 is going to look extremely different in the NFL this season.

Add another thing to the list: No cheerleaders or mascots on the field.

Cheerleaders and mascots will not be allowed on the field during the 2020 season, according to updated NFL-NFLPA protocols sent to clubs.

Yet another way the NFL will look different in the COVID-19 world.

This isn't a huge deal, but as an avid Dance Moms watcher and former dancer, the loss of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, for one, will be tough.

No, but seriously. It's a no-brainer here. Not only will it be safer for all involved (the less people, the safer/better), but the cheerleaders and the mascots are there for one reason and that is to entertain the fans. With no fans in the stadiums, there really isn't a need for them, is there?

Ravens-wise, I won't miss the actual real-life Ravens. But Poe is kind of entertaining.
