What is happening? Are the Cleveland Browns actually getting to the point where we are talking about them every week? Check my pulse.
The Browns not only scrubbed the floor with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, but came away with quite a few things to talk about. Usually at this time of the year, they've already penciled in their No. 1 draft pick.
First - safety Damarious Randall handed the ball he just picked off to Bengals coach Hue Jackson. Backstory - Jackson was fired just weeks ago. What a fantastic own.
Then - quarterback Baker Mayfield friend-zoned Hue on the field after the game.
There's still more (this one isn't as funny in my opinion). Mayfield was asked after the game about his former coach, and while I really badly want to like Baker, I didn't like this quote. Imagine thinking that you should have any loyalty towards the team that fired you.
Anyway, that's where we are. We talk about the Browns a lot now.

Even though Cincinnati Bengals LB Vontaze Burfict literally tries to take dudes' heads off every single week, all three Bengals fans are now concerned that Baltimore Ravens OL Marshal Yanda spit on him. How dare he!
The Ravens denied that Yanda spit on anyone and even coach John Harbaugh had something to say about it during Monday's press conference. "This guy has been playing 11 years and played at the University of Iowa, for whoever wrote the article that makes the insinuation, have you ever heard of Marshal Yanda's character being attacked or him doing something along those lines ever in his whole career?"
I'm not going to overanalyze this video like some people seem to be (because, honestly, it doesn't even matter), but would I spit on Burfict? Maybe. I'd think about it at least.
Here's the video if you haven't already seen it 100 times.

Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith takes away this week's cringe injury. Don't watch this if you don't want to see it. Just skip it. Close your eyes, idc.
Even though the Redskins as a franchise kind of deserve this (they do, don't lie - Dan Snyder is a snake), I feel really bad for Alex Smith. This is just a brutal way to go down period.
Smith was carted off on Sunday and taken straight to the hospital. He broke his tibia and fibula, according to head coach Jay Gruden, and will have immediate surgery. Colt McCoy (who I had no idea was still in the league tbh) is the new Redskins starter, with the team bringing in QBs this week to work out. Like I mean Mark Sanchez.
Thoughts and prayers to all (most) Redskins fans.

Tom Brady went to see Hamilton the other night - and before you say he should be watching film or catching balls, cause one of you assholes will, the New England Patriots have a bye this week - and he didn't piss a SINGLE TIME. My man was out here chugging waters all night and didn't get up to pee one time. Not one time!
The NFL needs to look into this ASAP.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Rams were set for this week's Roger Goodell World Tour in Mexico City this weekend. Except the field ended up looking like the stampede from 'The Lion King' that killed Mufasa went through it. The game is being moved to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
It took a lot of consulting with various people, including the NFLPA and just basically took way too long to determine that these fields were just waiting to tear someone's entire lower body apart.
Some good news, though - The Rams are expected to provide complimentary tickets to the now-moved game to first responders and those affected by the wildfires in Southern California.
