Buzz - Richie Incognito is contemplating retirement

Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Richie Incognito said he's retiring after 12 seasons because he can't take the stress anymore. Not to be dramatic or anything, but he also said his organs are slowly shutting down.

@68INCOGNITO just told me the following: "I'm, done. That's it. It's been a long career. Went to the doctor. My liver and kidneys are shutting down. The stress is killing me. It's just about doing what's right. I just want to be in the Hall of Fame." Full story to come.

Is there a different Hall of Fame that we don't know about?

Incognito also took a pay cut, but insists that's not what this retirement talk is all about. He also fired his agent OVER TWITTER (seriously) and tweeted out his phone number (I didn't see either of these because he blocked me). Call me crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if he changed his mind and then un-changed it a few more times.

Buzz-worthy-

  • The end of an era. Michael Campanaro has signed a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans after being with the Baltimore Ravens for way too long. Best of luck to Camp and his hamstrings.
  • Color Rush jerseys are no longer a thing for Thursday Night Football. Bill Wanger of FOX Sports said the alternate jerseys won't be worn exclusively on Thursday Nights anymore, which means maybe they could be worn for other games or meaningful games (think Ravens black jerseys against the Steelers-ish).
  • Joe Montana thinks "it's still a little early" to tell if Jimmy Garoppolo will save the 49ers. He also added that he would like to see a full season out of the (extremely handsome) quarterback (sup?).
  • Arizona Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said he's not in a hurry to get QB Sam Bradford on the field this offseason. Uh, no shit. You breathe on the dude and he falls over backwards. Also just realized Sam Bradford and Mike Glennon are the top guys in Arizona right now (until/unless they draft a QB), which is just comically sad.
  • "No. This league, it’s one year at a time. That’s kind of how it goes. I need to go out there and play well this year, and that’s all I’m looking forward to.” - Eli Manning on if he's discussed his future with the Giants.
  • Eric Ebron says he chose to go to the Indianapolis Colts during free agency because of QB Andrew Luck. Does he know that he's broken?
  • I think I love Josh Rosen. This entire interview is fantastic. Just read it. This will be short-lived when he goes to a shitty team and I have to hate him. Enjoy it while you still can.
  • 2018 NFL Draft Day hats are here via NewEra, and all of them have weird sayings on them. Whatever happened to the team name and logo?
  • “I think that there’s a fine line, but I don’t think that you ever want to turn your body and use your helmet as a weapon." - Mike Vrabel on the new helmet rule.
  • Aaron Rodgers met the Dalai Lama and gave him a football. Yep.

What I'm reading today-

  • This Josh Rosen interview again (ESPN)
  • NFL Draft analysis is a cottage industry - and everyone wants to join the neighborhood (Washington Post)
  • Pro cheerleaders say groping and sexual harassment are part of the job (LA Times)
  • The NFL isn't overlooking DJ Moore like it did with Stefon Diggs (SB Nation)

Last word-

Say what u want aboutRay Lewis but he never smoked weed on a boat
