Carolina fires ron rivera... for what?

The Panthers fired their head coach Ron Rivera on Tuesday, after losing four straight games.

With #Panthers coach Ron Rivera out, secondary coach Perry Fewell was named interim head coach. OC Norv Turner will transition to special assistant to the head coach, and QB coach Scott Turner will serve as offensive coordinator. ... Major changes in Carolina.

The timing is strange... the Panthers lost starting QB Cam Newton early on, and Kyle Allen came in and didn't do a terrible job until recently. Also Christian McCaffrey is having an MVP-like season. As the winningest coach in team history, I at least expected them to wait until their season was over for them to do this, no?

Rivera accomplished plenty with Carolina, and he should be proud of it. There's tons of worse coaching going on around the league.

The Philadelphia Eagles released WR Mack Hollins on Tuesday, a 2017 fourth round draft pick. I'll let this video say it for me.

Jerry jones insists jason garrett will be coaching in the nfl next season... but where?

Dallas Cowboys GM Jerry Jones said on a radio spot on Tuesday that their current head coach will coach in the NFL next year. While Garrett's been given a million and a half chances, people are beginning to take this quote as "it might not be here tho."

Jerry Jones on @1053thefan said he’s seen list of rumored candidates to be the Cowboys’ coach in 2020, “but they can’t guarantee me or my fans a Super Bowl.” Believes Garrett has skill set to lead a team there. “In my opinion, Jason Garrett will be coaching in the NFL next year.”

I will believe someone else will coach the Cowboys next season when I see it. Until then, I'm not buying.
