The new rams logo is here

The Los Angeles Rams revealed their new logo on Monday, and I'm officially the only one who really doesn't hate it. Nothing gets people so up in arms like uniforms, colors and logo debates.

I'll never understand why this stuff makes people so up-in-arms.

xfl's pj walker signs with carolina

The Carolina Panthers were the first to take a bite out of the XFL, signing Houston Roughnecks quarterback PJ Walker.

The Carolina Panthers will be signing XFL star P.J. Walker per source

Matt Rhule coached Walker at Temple, so there's the connection there. With QB Kyle Allen getting traded to the Washington Redskins, both Walker and Will Grier are solid backup options for Teddy Bridgewater. That backup QB competition is gonna be lit.

pats release stephen gostkowski

The New England Patriots are straight-up getting rid of all their old players. First it was Tom Brady, now it's the kicker.

The #Patriots indeed cut Kicker Stephen Gostkowski, officially. He's been with the team since 2006.

Here's a stat that you don't really think about when it comes to kickers: Gostkowski has appeared in 28 playoff games, 4th-most in NFL history.

travis frederick retires

Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday at age 29. Living the damn dream.

I'll always applaud players for making this decision, especially while they're still young. Players' health comes first, and the sad truth is, the NFL doesn't always think that way.

What's even more eerie: In the last five years, seven NFL players under the age of 30 have retired from football. And that number will keep going up, methinks.

ravens bring back anthony levine and jimmy smith

The Baltimore Ravens are intent on keeping last year's roster as together as possible in hopes that they'll finally win a playoff game this time. (/waits for hate tweets even though it's the truth) The team offered one-year contracts to both Anthony Levine Sr. and Jimmy Smith.

The Ravens are returning:

3 of the 45 highest-graded CBs from 2019 in Marlon Humphrey, Marcus Peters and Jimmy Smith

2 of the top 35 highest-graded safeties in Earl Thomas and Chuck Clark

And get Tavon Young back in 2020

Gordon said it better than I can. Do what you can do right now to keep your team on the track you want them to be on. Go team.
