JJ Watt wants the hell out of Houston

The Houston Texans are currently 2-7 and are basically, in the words of Kristin Cavallari in Laguna Beach, DUNZO. I'd imagine everyone from the coaches to the practice squad players are pissed, but no one has made it more known that he is pissed pissed like defensive lineman JJ Watt.

Watt told the Houston Chronicle that he doesn't accept his team's record, adding to the ongoing list of signs pointing to the fact that he wants to get the hell out of Houston and never wants to look back. “I personally don’t think you should ever show up to work happy and excited and joyous when you’re 2-7. I don't think this should be acceptable for players, for coaches, for fans, for anybody, front office." Watt went on to explain that the team needs to put forth more effort instead of just laying down and accepting defeat.

Another of the recent instances that show Watt wants out was when he voiced his displeasure over the firing of award-winning public relations director Amy Palcic, telling reporters he considered it a "big loss."

First & only woman to be head of PR for an NFL team and winner of the Rozelle Award for best PR Staff in the NFL.

Massive help in my hurricane relief efforts, community events and much more.

Whoever picks up @amypalcic will be getting one of the absolute best in the business.

My personal favorite "JJ Watt is Fed the Fuck Up" moment was when he could barely speak to reporters after the Texans lost to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. This is a clip for the ages.

Watt told reporters earlier this season that he knows he's heading into the backend of his career and that his primary interest is winning a championship (or at least contending for one... baby steps) before he can't any longer. "I'm not looking to rebuild. I'm looking to go after a championship, and that's what I want to do. So, whatever is in the best interest of the Houston Texans, that's in the best interest of myself."

Watt is too good for this team (so is Deshaun Watson while we're at it) and deserves a chance elsewhere. It's at the point where he's put in the work, won a handful of Defensive Player of the Year awards, gotten a big payday, and now just cares about winning occasionally. It's hard for me to sit back and watch this team play; I can only imagine being told to suit up and try your best when this team is determined to stay bad for as long as humanly possible.

I hope for his sake he's somewhere else in 2021, and I can't find a reason aside from his contract ($17.5 million remaining) why any contending team won't take him.
