Le'Veon Bell is an idiot

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell is once again putting his life on the line. No deal was reached between himself and his horrible football team, so Bell will once again either a) play under the franchise tag or b) sit out the season. Bell has to be high (which is entirely possible) to think another team would pay a RUNNING BACK $70 million for five years - yep, that's the deal the Steelers offered him. With the short lifespan of RBs in the NFL, I HIGHLY (pun intended) doubt any other team would pay him that much - especially with this diva attitude.

From what I understand, the #Steelers’ final offer to RB Le’Veon Bell was 5 years, $70M with more than $30M over 2 years. Last year, the offer was 5 years, $60M. ... Instead, he’ll earn $14.5M on another franchise tag.

If he wants to leave the AFC North, you won't see me complaining though....

buzz-worthy:

  • The Baltimore Ravens are placing OG Marshal Yanda on the PUP list to start training camp. Don't freak the fuck out - they're just taking it slow with him. He fractured his ankle early last season. There's no reason to rush him back. Breathe in. Breathe out.
  • Richard Sherman suggests "mistakes and poor judgement" were the reasons behind the Seattle Seahawks purge this offseason. “I think it’ll all come out when they do the 30 for 30. Mistakes and poor judgment on things ruined what could have been a really special deal. . . . They’ve lost their way. It’s as simple as that. They’ve just lost their way. When you make too many mistakes over a long period of time, you kind of dig yourself a hole. And then when you backtrack, you gotta make a bunch of rash decisions to try and fill the hole and hope that it holds up."
  • I need to go here. A Buffalo brewery is offering a cocktail called "Tom Brady's Tears," and it seems like it's right up my alley.
  • Philadelphia Eagles QB Nick Foles says it was hard to watch other QBs get big contracts: “It was hard to watch other players — quarterbacks in particular — sign massive contracts in the weeks following the Super Bowl. On a daily basis, I have to fight the internal battle to keep my priorities straight."
  • I'm crying partly because of the dogs and partly because a Cincinnati Bengals player is doing something meaningful. Bengals P Kevin Huber and his wife Mindi are huge dog fans (who isn't) and they are starting a foundation centered around rescue dogs. Get more info here I can't type anymore about this because I'll start to cry.
  • New Orleans Saints DL Mitchell Loewen helped save a man whose car fell FOUR stories from a garage. How does that even happen? Check out his story and the photos here.
  • Dallas Cowboys defender DeMarcus Lawrence will play under the franchise tag in 2018 as of yesterday at 4pm. Lawrence has missed various games due to either injury or suspension, and basically Dallas wants to make sure they have their guy vs. someone who's gonna continuously screw up. Lawrence wants to and should earn a long-term deal.
  • Los Angeles Rams DB Aqib Talib had this to say about his new team going into training camp: “The thing that excites me about this team is the confidence and the work ethic that’s in that building. It starts with McVay. You can tell the work he puts in because he knows everything. He knows the whole defense and the whole offense. I think that confidence breeds success. All the successful teams I’ve been on have had great, hard-working offseasons and a super confident bunch of guys.”
  • Matt Patricia is in Detroit now, and he's taken a little bit of the "Patriot Way" with him. I'm not talking about the cheating or the murder (at least not yet), I'm talking about the state of mind. Lions CB Darius Slay said the team is already being "strict."
  • Aaron Rodgers again reiterates he wants to play until he's 40, and prefers to stick with one team - the Green Bay Packers. "But, yeah, my dream situation would be to stay in Green Bay.”

You didn't read the fine print of the contract...the is isn't a good deal compared tone Mcoy or Freeman. He would be better off with two straight franchise tags, because the 70 million wasnt guaranteed
