drew brees donates $5 million to covid-19 relief 

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his wife Brittany are donating $5 million to help deliver meals to people in Louisiana who have been affected by COVID-19.

Brittany and I are committing $5,000,000 to the State of Louisiana in 2020. The priority now is helping our communities get through this tough time. After considerable research and conversations with local organizations, we will be mobilizing our partnerships with Second Harvest Food Bank, Ochsner Health Systems, Walk-Ons, Jimmy Johns, Smalls Sliders and Waitr to prepare and deliver over 10,000 meals per day throughout Louisiana for as long as it takes to children on meal programs, seniors, and families in need. Let’s all do our part, maintain hope, and get through this together.

chandler jones donates 150,000 meals to food banks

More of that, you ask? Arizona Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones is also donating food to locals who have been affected by COVID-19 -- this time in his hometown of Endicott, New York and in Arizona.

Cardinals All-Pro linebacker Chandler Jones is donating over 150,000 meals to food banks in both Arizona and his hometown of Endicott, NY to assist with families affected by the Coronavirus outbreak.

Amongst all the craziness, uneasiness, etc. it's good to know there are people out there who are always willing to help. We can sit here and complain all day about how we could have known about this sooner, or about how the youths were out on spring break for too long, but at the end of the day, you can only control you and your actions.
