Saints staying put in New Orleans

10/8/2020

As (yet another) hurricane is brewing, the New Orleans Saints discussed relocating to Indianapolis to practice and potentially play Monday night's game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Today that doesn't look to be the case, and the team will stay put in Louisiana.

With Hurricane Delta weakening and heading west of New Orleans, the Saints have decided to stay in New Orleans and not evacuate to Indianapolis on Thursday. Team officials informed the staff during a meeting earlier tonight.

There's a lot of time between now and Monday night, and hurricanes can be unpredictable (especially this year), so I hope this ends up working out for them. There have been reports that the storm is strengthening again, but I am not a meteorologist.

The Saints also requested 25 percent capacity open for fans, but New Orleans mayor LaToya Cantrell denied the request.
