But first... we can't talk about that, until we talk about this:
Earl Thomas' own personal lifetime movie
Baltimore Ravens safety Earl Thomas isn't having a good time lately. First he gets man-handled by Derrick Henry, and now he gets HELD UP AT GUN POINT BY HIS WIFE FOR CHEATING.
To paraphrase -- Thomas' wife, Nina, tracked his Snapchat location (who even has Snapchat anymore - and if you're gonna cheat, turn it off), and found him and his brother in bed in an Airbnb with other women. She then held him at gunpoint and threatened him and was later arrested. You can read the whole story here, and I highly highly recommend doing that.
Before you speculate about the Ravens or the NFL punishing him in any way, Thomas really didn't do anything wrong here except cheat. And you can't get suspended or anything for that. The only thing he did wrong was not notify the team after this happened (April 13 -- the team found out about it when everyone else did). That could be handled internally. Unless there's something we really don't know about, Thomas should not face any disciplinary action.
the 2020 season will open with texans @ chiefs
We hope so, anyway. The 2020 NFL season will kick off on Thursday, September 10, with the Houston Texans playing the defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs.
Now, can we please stay home and not make bad decisions so we can watch this please? It's all I ask, and I don't ask for much.
brady vs. brees in week one hits different
Another high-profile matchup for Week One -- the Tampa Bay Bucs take on the New Orleans Saints. Which means, we get Tom Brady vs. Drew Brees. AND they're in the same division, which means we get this twice.
Brady and Brees have only met five times prior to this season.
