  • On Monday, the Cleveland Browns signed cornerback Denzel Ward to a five-year, $100.5 million contract extension. Ward's deal includes a $71.25 million guarantee, making him the highest-paid cornerback in NFL history. Ward, drafted fourth overall by Cleveland in 2018, has been a standout player on their defense and should be a top-performing member of the secondary for years to come. While I wouldn't consider him a "lockdown corner" like Jalen Ramsey, he's a solid defender and is extremely valuable in a division like the AFC North.

Browns are signing Pro-Bowl CB Denzel Ward to a 5-year, $100.5 million contract extension that includes $71.25 million guaranteed, per source. At age 24, Ward is the highest-paid CB in NFL history.

  • The Kansas City Chiefs traded away Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins earlier this offseason and have been consistently trying to convince us that it won't really matter that much. But, of course, any time you trade away a game-changing player, the main question remains - can you replace him or his talent? The Chiefs will attempt to do this with either Mecole Hardman or Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Additionally, there are rumors that Kansas City could potentially go in on another top wide receiver a la DK Metcalf. We will see, but head coach Andy Reid is convinced the offense will not be primarily affected. Um, ok.

  • The Chicago Bears signed tight end James O'Shaugnessy, hoping to give second-year quarterback Justin Fields something to work with. O'Shaughnessy showed promise and chemistry with rookie QB Trevor Lawrence when he was with the Jacksonville Jaguars before ankle, and hip injuries interrupted his season. O'Shaughnessy joins Cole Kmet in the Bears' tight end room.

  • The Baltimore Ravens released wide receiver Miles Boykin, saving the team $2.5 million in cap space. The Ravens were trying to trade him, to no avail. Injuries riddled Boykin's career in Baltimore, but he should be able to catch on to a team looking for a low-risk, high-reward player.

Ravens release WR Miles Boykin, a former third-round pick. The move, which was announced by the team, creates $2.54 million of cap space. The Ravens tried to trade him but there really wasn't a market for a player coming off injury-marred season.
