The Cleveland Browns have high expectations this season once again, and once again, Week One showed us that those expectations had not been met. There was no preseason, and they're operating under a brand new head coach, but quarterback Baker Mayfield and wide receiver Odell Beckham's connection struggled big-time against the Baltimore Ravens.
First step? Recognition. Mayfield told reporters that although Beckham only had the lowest of low three catches for 22 yards, the team plans to get to the bottom of the issue, he doesn't plan to force OBJ the ball.
The next step? Find a solution.
I'm willing to give Cleveland some time to get this thing together -- it is only Week One. But you can bet that all eyes are going to be on the Mayfield-Beckham connection heading forward. The Browns play the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, so they have to do something quickly.
