Bills sign Dion DAWkins to $60 million extension

The Buffalo Bills have signed their left tackle Dion Dawkins to a four-year, $60 million extension, keeping him with the team through 2024.

And now another big deal today:

Bills’ standout left tackle Dion Dawkins and Buffalo reached agreement on a four-year, $60 million contract extension, sources tell ESPN.

The deal ties Dawkins to Buffalo, and protecting Josh Allen’s blindside, through the 2024 season.

Dawkins was on the final year of his rookie contract.

Listen, this guy is super reliable -- hasn't missed a game, and started most of them -- but this is a lot of money. I get the need for a good offensive lineman, but still. I think Dawkins is an underrated player for sure (most great offensive linemen are), but this is a big money deal. 

I hope they plan on paying him this much for what they think he will continue to do, rather than what he already has done, and there's a difference there.
