it finally happened.
What you hear is the collective sigh of all six Washington Redskins fans who still give a shit about the team after hearing the news that the team finally, finally, finally, gave president Bruce Allen the ol' heave-ho. Only about ten seasons too late, am I right?
Owner Dan Snyder is still there, so how big of a change this is (or could be) is still to be seen. Washington is also expected to hire former Carolina Panthers head coach Ron Rivera, which isn't a bad move by any means. But, like I stated. It's the Redskins. Sad face emoji. shurmur's short leash.
The New York Giants fired their head coach Pat Shurmur after two seasons. This had to happen, I guess, with that dumpster fire that they trotted out on the field.
Now the team will be looking for its third head coach in just five years. I swear if they ruin Saquon Barkley there will be hell to pay. New York is interested in Baylor head coach Matt Rhule for the position, as well as New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Which, this is an annual thing. We all know McDaniels has some sort of non-spoken agreement with Bill Belichick that he'll take over the reins once Belichick is done. And yet every year, a handful of shitty teams want to interview him and he always says no. Rinse, repeat. do i have to like philip rivers now?
Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers may be on his last legs (not literally) when it comes to playing football. We all pretty much know he probably won't be back with the team next season, and while he's said he's open to playing on another team, and he doesn't want to retire, who's gonna be the one to bite?
Anyway, this video made me lose my mind and maybe kinda start to like good ol' Phil here a little.
raiders ink richie incognito
For some reason, the Oakland Raiders gave guard Richie Incognito a two-year, $14 million extension, because of course they did.
Sooooo yeah, there's that. someone's not getting fired
Some good news for a coach on a day when so many are getting bad news -- the Arizona Cardinals are sticking with defensive coordinator Vance Joseph in 2020.
The offense got much of the love this season, and the defense was EH, but they looked improved towards the end of the season. So whatever he's doing, I guess it's worth another shot. antonio clown is at it again
Antonio Brown, who doesn't play for an NFL team, couldn't resist a moment to poke fun at his former teammates, who are currently on NFL teams.
Someone take Twitter away from this man, permanently. ya missing something?
The NFL forgot to include two of their playoff teams, the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles in their playoff hype video.
They're gonna totally use this in their favor aren't they? jason garrett may or may not be fired
Dallas Cowboys head coach (maybe not for much longer) Jason Garrett has been on the "HOT SEAT" for quite some time, but it's been clear this season that he's holding that damn team back and needs to get the boot immediately. -deep breath-
And now we wait. The dolphins coaches are dropping like flies
The Miami Dolphins are dipping their toes in Black Monday as well, firing three of their coaches: offensive coordinator Chad O'Shea, offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, and safeties coach Tony Oden.
Someone needs to be taking the fall for what they did to Josh Rosen. Finally it's happening. AND I'M OUT!
