Broncos add Brett Rypien to active roster

With an injury to starting quarterback Drew Lock, the Denver Broncos are starting Jeff Driskel for some reason. Denver also signed QB Blake Bortles just yesterday, meaning he won't be ready to back up Jeff..... Driskel..... with just a day's notice, but I'm sure that doesn't matter because it's Jeff..... Driskel. 

Meanwhile, in order for Denver to have a backup, because something is sure to happen, they promoted QB Brett Rypien​ to the active roster. This seems like a mean joke, but it's true.

Per NFL Source: The Broncos are signing QB Brett Rypien to the active 53-man roster. Not the biggest surprise considering Vic told us Bortles wouldn’t be ready to backup Driskel this week. Good for Brett, who’s worked hard, helped Lock, and gets a nice pay raise! @KOAColorado

The Broncos are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers​ this weekend, and godspeed to them, they will need it.
