Are we closer than ever to seeing Washington Commanders owner Dan Snyder the hell outta here?

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay told reporters at the owners' conference that he believes there is "merit" to remove him. ?

Colts owner Jim Irsay on voting Dan Snyder out as owner of the Commanders: “I believe that’s the road we have to go down. … I believe it’s in the best interest of the National Football League.”

I'm not going to get into the logistics, but Snyder is a eyesore amongst the NFL (where there are many bad things happening, so that tells you a lot). It's certainly interesting to see another NFL owner publicly state those comments; it makes you think he's not alone in his thoughts. Irsay also said it may take about 24 votes to oust Snyder.

more:

  • The Baltimore Ravens solved all their problems and signed free agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson to their practice squad on Tuesday. Jackson certainly fits the bill as a Ravens receiver: old, washed up, past his prime, over 30... should I go on?

Ravens are signing veteran WR DeSean Jackson, his agent @DrewJRosenhaus confirmed. At 35, Jackson is back for his 15th NFL season.

  • Rookie wide receiver Chris Olave told reporters on Tuesday that he's fully cleared from concussion protocol and will play for the New Orleans Saints on Thursday. Olave suffered a concussion in Week 6.

Saints WR Chris Olave said he is fully cleared, 100% and planning to return Thursday at Arizona after missing Week 6 with a concussion.

  • With starter Carson Wentz out for a while with a broken finger, backup QB Taylor Heinicke will start for the Commanders this week. Rookie Sam Howell will be the backup (even though I, personally, think he should start - see what he has? Why not?). This is probably the only team where losing your starting QB has no indication on how bad you'll be.

  • It's in the cards for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott to start this week after suffering a thumb injury in Week 1. Owner Jerry Jones thinks so, too.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan on Dak Prescott: “He’s
determined to (play Sunday). From my perspective, I think he’s gonna get there. We feel like physically (he’s ready to return). He’s going to be given every opportunity this week to go play. He looks ready to go.”
