New Arizona Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins hasn't been on the practice field for the past few days. While the logical say it is merely just a hamstring injury and the team is taking precautions with their new star player, rumors have been swirling that he is unhappy with his current contract.
Hopkins himself put those rumors to bed, insisting that he is not holding out.
While Hopkins' contract isn't nearly what he deserves (about 12-13 million and some change each year until 2022) and it would make sense if he wasn't happy, the team should be confident that he can do well this season. Quarterback Kyler Murray is next in line to have that "hot sophomore season" that Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson both had. Hopkins is simply a bonus to that monster season, and it's imperative that he's healthy this year.
