saints score first
This is Drew Brees' final game at his home stadium as he is set to retire, and the New Orleans Saints get on the board first against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Punt returner Deonte Harris had a nice 54-yard return, as kicker Will Lutz grabbed the field goal for a 3-0 lead.
... and then deonte harris is out
Harris is now out of the game with a neck injury after being tackled by Bucs' linebacker Devin White. The Saints are up 6-0 after a 26-yard field goal from kicker Ryan Succop.
drew brees throws a pick, and the bucs grab the lead
Probably not the way Brees wants to go out thus far, but the Bucs grabbed a 10-6 lead after a pick by cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.
Bucs quarterback Tom Brady found wide receiver Mike Evans in the endzone for a score.
did someone say Jameis winston?
(Nobody did.)
Saints backup quarterback Jameis Winston subbed into the game for Brees in the second quarter, and promptly threw a 56-yard touchdown to Tre'Quan Smith. Who woulda thought? This one put the Saints up on the Bucs, 13-10.

In the Brady vs. Brees Grandpa Bowl, both teams have been trading scores throughout the first half. The Bucs were able to tie it up just before halftime, with a field goal from Succop.
tre'quan smith scores second td of the day

jared cook fumbles, bucs score
Tampa Bay tied things up again after Saints tight end Jared Cook fumbled in the third quarter. Running back Leonard Fournette (former Jacksonville Jaguars great, yep that's him) caught a six-yard touchdown from Brady to tie it, 20-20.
brees throws another pick
Brees is throwing dimes... to the other team. This time it's Devin White who comes up with the ball, taking it to the 20-yard line, and eventually leading the Bucs to a lead of 30-20. If this is how Brees goes out, it's not ideal.
Tampa Bay takes another step towards... tampa bay
The Bucs beat New Orleans in a game of back-and-forth, capped off by some bad turnovers from Brees in a 30-20 win. Tampa Bay will travel to Green Bay to face the Packers next week.
