With the 2020 NFL season just a little over a week away, teams are beginning to announce their starting quarterbacks, if they were in the critically acclaimed "Quarterback Competition" category.
Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera announced his starter on Tuesday, and it's second-year QB, Dwayne Haskins.
This was the expected and obvious choice. Alex Smith was another option, but with coming off of a catastrophic knee injury, I know I'm not the only one who will cringe inwardly every time a defender comes within five feet of him. It's just not the safest bet right now. Kyle Allen is the third choice, who is an okay backup and has experience working with Rivera. Haskins getting another shot is the best choice at the moment, and he's earned it.
