Peak offseason news. The Arizona Cardinals now have a street named after them in Glendale, Arizona. It's called 'Cardinals Way' -- they rejected my suggestion of 'Josh Rosen Avenue.'
We all know Atlanta Falcons fans don't show up to games, but this is actually just outright embarrassing. Attendance at games was apparently much lower than they reported, which is almost as funny as the time they had to pump crowd noise into their speakers at games to drown out the booing. Baltimore Ravens' Orlando Brown, who famously had a bad Combine and then went on to fall to Baltimore and was one of the standouts on the team (if you actually watched) had some words to say about the upcoming Scouting Combine (this is the start of the thread, but the whole thing is worth reading) --
The Buffalo Bills are hiring former Dolphins' analytics guy Dennis Lock as their director of football research and strategy. No idea what that job entails but just go with it. The Carolina Panthers are hosting a beer festival at their stadium -- they're really pushing me to become a fan aren't they? Chicago Bears G Kyle Long appears to have restructured his contract, making him a --
This is the most Bengals story ever -- A Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holder (why) is suing the team because he slipped in fell in puke at the stadium. Seriously. Cannot make this up. Cleveland Browns OT Greg Robinson is re-signing with the team, as of Monday. This should surprise absolutely no one - Dallas Cowboys DE Randy Gregory is suspended by the NFL basically forever after violating the league's substance abuse policy. This is probably like the sixth time right? Denver Broncos RB Phillip Lindsay has some advice for those players who may not be invited to the Combine --
This is a buzzkill -- ex-Detroit Lions DE Armonty Bryant needs a kidney donation and transplant. The Green Bay Packers are not expected to re-sign WR Randall Cobb this offseason. Cobb could be a good option for a team not looking for a star, but looking for an okayish player who may or may not do well. Here are five offseason moves that could help improve the Houston Texans -- starting with franchising Jadeveon Clowney. The Indianapolis Colts are extending TE Ross Travis to a one-year extension, if you're into that sort of thing. Unpopular opinion: A look at why signing QB Nick Foles would be a mistake for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Dez Bryant says playing as the Kansas City Chiefs is "unstoppable." Guess that's one way to get a ring.
Andrew Whitworth says he's returning to the Los Angeles Rams via Twitter on Tuesday. He reportedly told the team he would be returning two days following the Super Bowl.
Los Angeles Chargers S Derwin James shares his experiences from the Scouting Combine in his own words. The workouts... and the weird ass questions. "Somebody asked me what I would do if they gave me a brick. I just (responded) that it would be the start of a foundation. Another team put me through an algebra test and (math questions); asking whatâs two plus two, and then whatâs four plus six. It was weird." LG Josh Sitton fully expects to be released by the Miami Dolphins this offseason after signing a two-year deal last year. Not sure who asked him but Mike Shanahan seems to think the Minnesota Vikings got the right QB in Kirk Cousins. Here's New England Patriots QB Tom Brady kissing his wife for once instead of his son.
New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas will be a contestant on Celebrity Family Feud -- joining him are other NFL players like Lamar Jackson and Cameron Hayward. They'll be going against Hall of Famers. I wonder who will win. The New York Giants aren't getting a new QB yet, but they are getting the next best thing -- a new DBs coach. They're hiring Everett Withers, who spent the past three years as the head coach of Texas State. The New York Jets are reportedly eyeing soon-to-be free agent WR Donte Moncrief. The Oakland Raiders finally know where they're playing in 2019 -- and it's the same damn place that they've been playing all along. Shocking. The Philadelphia Eagles aren't expected to pick up Timmy Jernigan's 2019 option, which means he'll most likely hit the free agent market. Soon-to-be former Pittsburgh Steelerâ Le'Veon Bell just likes attention. That's all I'm gonna say. The first player to be franchised this offseason (officially, at least)? San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould. A kicker. Sounds about right. A quick look at five players at the Combine that could fit right in with the Seattle Seahawks. Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber's playbook was stolen out of his car this past weekend, and the Bucs said there is no vital information and no concern over this because it is, of course, the Bucs. The Tennessee Titans are one of many teams who need WRs -- but free agency might not be the answer for them. Washington Redskins RB Derrius Guice tore his ACL early last season, but he seems to be back on the mend because I don't think I can do this.
