Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had some words to say about Antonio Brown, who is getting on my last damn nerve. And he's right.
The Atlanta Falcons signed QB Matt Schaub to a two-year contract extension over the weekend, which is good for him since he's the best QB named Matt on the team. Ex-Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins did not have great start to his weekend -- he crashed his car into a tree early Friday morning, and was then charged with weapons and drug charges. The Ravens released him shortly after (he was gonna be released anyway, let's be honest). This is a must-read, especially for any women in sports who may be reading this -- Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott is determined to make women a part of the professional coaching world, and it's all because of his own daughter. Former Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith continues to be a national treasure, especially when it comes to talking about himself.
I don't know about you, but I'm very excited for season two of Very Cavallari, strictly for the reason that they promised us more of ex-Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler. Another day, another way to embarrass the Cincinnati Bengals. Melissa Whitworth, wife of current Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth, details the process that resulted in Whitworth leaving Cincinnati -- and it's not pretty. Ole Miss WR DJ Metcalf has met with the Cleveland Browns and wouldn't mind playing for them. His reason? None other than QB Baker Mayfield. If you've been living under a rock this weekend, you may not know this but TE Jason Witten has come out of retirement because he sucks on television and will play 2019 with the Dallas Cowboys. So who is next in line to replace Witten? Oddsmakers are pointing towards former Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning. Yanno how Rich Eisen runs the 40 every year to benefit St. Jude's Children's Hospital? Well, Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia made a $5,000 donation to Eisen and the hospital. This kid is a total kiss ass, but here's Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers signing a sign for this kid's teacher.
The Houston Texans are moving on from CB Kevin Johnson. One time, he messaged me on Twitter to yell at me about how I said Michael Campanaro was hurt all the time. Good times. The Indianapolis Colts are among teams who want nothing to do with Antonio Brown and/or Le'Veon Bell. This is obviously just a report, but apparently the Jacksonville Jaguars are the landing spot for Nick Foles. Could be worse. The Kansas City Chiefs are planning to put the franchise tag on linebacker Dee Ford, but are also listening to trade offers at the same time. The one-year tag for LBs is set at $15.8 million -- not bad. The Los Angeles Chargers need to start thinking about a quarterback to replace Phillip Rivers in the next few seasons -- plenty seem to think that guy could be NC State QB Ryan Finley. This is what I like to call -- not great! Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley has arthritis in his knee, which could have been the reason for his absence in the Super Bowl. Nothing to see here, everything is fine, I'm sure it just goes away........ The Miami Dolphins will try to trade QB Ryan Tannehill, but I highly doubt there will be any takers -- nobody is tryna pay $18.75 million for him. The Minnesota Vikings are expecting "big things" from QB Kirk Cousins in 2019, for some reason. New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski even does this shit when he's on vacation.
The NFL is looking to add a 'sky judge' (you may recognize this term if you've watched any AAF) to avoid what happened to the New Orleans Saints last season. New York Giants RB Saquon Barkley is right about this --
The New York Jets won't tender TE Clive Walford, allowing him to become a free agent on March 13. The Oakland Raiders were reportedly shopping QB Derek Carr at the Combine. I can only imagine for what.
Philadelphia Eagles C Jason Kelce is staying in Philly. He signed a one-year extension over the weekend and didn't have a printer or fax, so this happened --
Antonio Brown had a lot to say about the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I'm just gonna leave it here.
The San Francisco 49ers have a big decision to make when it comes to DB Jimmie Ward. They want him back on a one-year deal, but he still could become a free agent first. The Seattle Seahawks are releasing DT Malik McDowell due to health concerns. He was injured in an ATV crash the summer before he was drafted, and hasn't really played since. Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson is reportedly not interested in taking a pay cut. He's also not interested in being BFFs with Jameis Winston. Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said the Combine matters until it doesn't. Washington Redskins president Bruce Allen claims his team was never in the running for Joe Flacco --- big fucking mistake my man.
