It's been quite an eventful week for San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. Earlier in the week (and it's only Thursday), he shot down a report that he had agreed to a new contract, and now here we are, mere days later, with the details of his monster contract. Funny how that works.
Anyways, the team and Kittle have agree to a five-year, $75 million extension, with an $18 million signing bonus. Not bad at all.
This is a lot of money. It surpasses the deal Austin Hooper got. But this is well deserved. Kittle has the ability to carry the offense -- you can't find someone who is more valuable on that offense. Here are some stats if you need more convincing:
