Good news so far for Josh Allen's elbow

Mystery has surrounded Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen after he suffered an elbow injury in Sunday's game. While rumors swirled that he had a UCL injury that may end his season (and, therefore, potentially the Bills' season), the team got good news on Wednesday that Allen is considered day-to-day and will be questionable for Week 10's game.

Head coach Sean McDermott said Allen will not practice today (Wednesday), and while it doesn't seem promising for this week, at least his season isn't over. Day-to-day is definitely better than week-to-week.

Bills HC Sean McDermott on QB Josh Allen's elbow injury "He's day to day. And the next question is, 'is he going to play?' We'll see."

more qb news:

  • Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is in the running for Coach of the Year, as he's lead QB Geno Smith and the rest of the team in a direction no one thought they were going. It might come down to the details, as Smith makes it easier on the coordinator by wearing a wristband. "If you notice, Geno's going off the wristband, and that's a big help... We never did that before. There was resistance to that, so we didn't do that before." A soft shot to Russell Wilson, perhaps?
  • Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill says he's still dealing with his ankle injury and that it's mostly a pain-tolerance issue. It sounds like it may be rookie Malik Willis again in Week 10.

#Titans' Tannehill: Going to be dealing with pain tolerance for a while. It's definitely testing my patience, doing everything I can to help it heal.

  • Amongst the dumpster fire that has been the Indianapolis Colts this season, former coach Frank Reich  benched QB Matt Ryan earlier this season, opting to go with Sam Ehlinger. Once a head coaching change was made, could they go back to Ryan, hoping for a different outcome (fat chance)? "If we decide to make a change, we'll make a change. It's not something we're locked into."
  • Justin Fields was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week Nine.
