I think I love Alvin Kamara

New Orleans Saints RB Alvin Kamara may be one of my new favorite players. As you may know, some of my favorite players are the ones who aren't afraid to let it all rip and let their feelings (and the word 'fuck') just fly repeatedly because they just don't give af. Kamara did that during an interview with Bleacher Report's Master Tesfatsion, especially when it came to the ever-memorable "Minnesota Miracle."

"It's a certain point where you fucking just do everything you could do, and shit still don't go your way. That's how I felt about that game. I felt like we did everything. We came all the way back, and then shit just happened like that. That's like some one-in-a-million-type shit. I couldn't even be mad. I was mad, of course, but it was like how does that even fucking happen? That's not even real. It's almost not realistic, like what the fuck?"

I feel like I've said this exact paragraph numerous times a day. It could end there, buuuuut....

"We'd beat the shit out of [the Eagles] cause we was rolling. If we won [against the Vikings], I knew nobody was gonna stop us cause we came all the way back. We know what the standard is. So, yea, fuck Minnesota."

Am I a Saints fan now?

buzz-worthy:

  • The Tennessee Titans only signed S Kenny Vaccaro like a week ago, but he's already seeing practice time with the first team, due to a season-ending injury to Jonathan Cyprien. "I was just trying to catch my rhythm. I haven’t really practiced with a team for like six months. So to come out here and really just run around, I’m just thankful." Vaccaro should be able to catch up with plenty of playing time in the preseason.
  • I am salivating at the mouth at the thought of getting to watch Arizona Cardinals QB Josh Rosen in his first real live NFL game Saturday night. I'm confident Rosen will see ACTUAL (aka regular season) football this year one way or another -- Sam Bradford is either going to break both legs or get benched because he sucks. As for now, Rosen says, "I think I’ve gotten better pretty much every day since I’ve gotten here."
  • The San Francisco 49ers will honor the man responsible for one of the greatest plays in team history all season long with a helmet decal, among other tributes. TE Dwight Clark passed away earlier this year from ALS.
  • Baltimore Ravens OL Marshal Yanda has been injured for what feels like six years, but he's not letting that stop him from playing football. “Every single year that I played, it’s meant more to me. It’s been more important. There’s nothing else but football as you get older.” Joe Flacco thanks you.
  • The New York Jets are apparently open to trading QB Teddy Bridgewater (for what, I am not sure). It makes sense, as they have grandpa Josh McCown leading the way, followed by Lego person/frat boy Sam Darnold and really no other reason to keep a third quarterback.
  • Richie Incognito took back his apeshit-ness that ensued on Tuesday, apologizing to Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer for calling him a "fucking liar" and then deleting the tweets. I am sure no one saw them.
  • Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers had some suggestions for the NFL's salary cap situation, franchise tag situation, and no putting down his WRs (that I know of) like he did earlier this week.
  • Chicago Bears QB Mitch Trubisky was clowned by one of his own -- his backup QB Chase Daniel. Daniel went undercover as a fan at training camp asking for autographs - watch the video here. Does anyone actually own a Trubisky jersey? I feel like this is a fair question. Also, how are you supposed to mask defenders if you're fooled by a mere fan? Not a leadership quality.
  • Horrible human being and former NFL player Greg Hardy won his second UFC fight on Tuesday (the sport where you literally fight people - shocking, I know) and why am I even talking about this guy just forget I even said anything
  • Carson Palmer will get his own A Football Life special in September. The special is something I'd consider a must-watch -- from interviews with brother and QB guru Jordan Palmer, to his time with the Cardinals, to (my personal favorite) the complete and utter dysfunction of the Cincinnati Bengals.

What I'm reading today:

  • TE Hayden Hurst has breakout day at Tuesday's practice (Ravens Wire)
  • Redskins' Alex Smith on Derrius Guice: 'I don't feel like there's a real weakness in his game' (Washington Post)
  • Ranking the 25 best NFL players who have been in the league since 2008 (The Ringer)
  • Twitter hails Iranian female journalist for covering men's soccer (The Quint)
  • Kansas college football player, 19, dies after first day of practice (People)

Last word:

Why did the mansplainer drown in the puddle? It was a well, actually.
