if there was any year to miss...

  • Jacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne missed last season with an injury, and what a year he missed. The Jaguars' 2021 season was full of drama, and I don't think I need to explain all the ins and outs. But, with disappointments (hopefully) in the rearview, Etienne is looking toward the future and getting some work in with former college teammate Trevor Lawrence.

  • Green Bay Packers quarterback and ghee enthusiast Aaron Rodgers is not expected to attend the team's voluntary offseason workouts at this time. This is hardly news, as many vital veterans also choose not to show up, but that won't stop fans from overreacting. The only reason you'll catch me criticizing Rodgers showing up to these workouts would be to work with his receivers, as his top receiver Davante Adams departed from the team earlier this offseason.

Regarding Rodgers not showing up for the off-season: remember, he has a $50K workout bonus (as I first reported, thank you very much) that requires him to show up for 3 days. So, this is not news to the #Packers. If he wants to show up any other time, he can. It’s all voluntary. https://t.co/sciBVMkQIB

  • Ever since the Sam Darnold experience seemingly failed, the Carolina Panthers are in a position to draft a quarterback in this year's NFL Draft. The only question is which one they will go with. While many have ranked Liberty's Malik Willis to Carolina and, more recently, Kenny Pickett, a third name has been thrown into the mix in Matt Corral.

Amidst all the Pickett-to-Panthers talk, I believe Matt Corral is a real possibility at 6 to Carolina, too. □ https://t.co/9hqf1uiNRj

  • Rumors were swirling when Tom Brady "retired" earlier this year that Brady wanted to play for the Miami Dolphins and potentially have an owner's stake in the team. This is escalating, as "reports" are emerging that Brady's original retirement post was only a farewell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and not to his career. And the real reason why he didn't thank the New England Patriots? He planned to play them twice a year as the quarterback of the Dolphins.

"Holy shit. That is crazy." -- Dan after @BenVolin revealed that Tom Brady didn't thank the Patriots in his goodbye letter because he planned to play them twice a year -- as a member of the Miami Dolphins. #whatcouldhavebeen
