News bomb: The Jacksonville Jaguars are releasing running back Leonard Fournette.
Fournette's release comes after the team declined his fifth-year option this past offseason. Fournette should have no problem ending up somewhere, and he should have no trouble going elsewhere. Usually, that's what all their players want.
Head coach Doug Marrone mentioned that cutting the running back was what was best for the team at the time.
Not sure how cutting your best player gives you the best chance to win, but I'll take his word for it. So, the question on everyone's minds is: Is the team tanking (for Trevor Lawrence or otherwise)? As this team never really does a great job drafting players, it's hard to say. Sad, but true.
