Cleveland Browns punter Jamie Gillan was placed on the team's COVID-19 reserve list on Thursday, after testing positive for the virus. The problem is, he tested positive about a month ago.
Before the COVID truthers and conspiracy theorists run wild with this one, I've known more than one person this has happened to. They test positive, recover, test negative, and then all of a sudden they have the virus again. Sure, there is a possibility that Gillan's particular test is a 'false positive.' This is just another example of how there are so many unknowns about this virus. How can we definitively know for sure that he doesn't still have it, hasn't contracted it a second time, or can't spread it to others? This probably won't be the last time this happens either.
