One of the biggest stories this week will be the availability of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes noticeably rolled his ankle in this weekend's game, took a drive off, and then came right back into the game. Mahomes was not his usual self, as he couldn't move around as much, but he still pulled off a win. Head coach Andy Reid said Mahomes is planning to play next week.

• This season, Dak Prescott's story was the interceptions, and he continued the story in the postseason throwing two picks as the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers. After the game, Prescott took responsibility for his decisions, saying they should never have happened. "Those are throws you can't have, not in the playoffs. Not when you're playing a team like that and on the road. No excuses for it. Those are 100 percent on me."
  

• Brock Purdy is running the show for the San Francisco 49ers, but quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is supposed to be returning from his broken foot soon. However, head coach Kyle Shanahan said he'd be surprised if Garoppolo is ready to play this week.
