While he still has to make a firm decision on his future in the NFL, a trade is still on the table for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. A trade would free up a big chunk of change for the team ($60 million, to be exact), but he is not expected to be traded to an NFC team. A couple of intriguing teams are the Las Vegas Raiders and the New York Jets, both of whom are expected to move on from their current starters.

More context: Aaron Rodgers doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract. The #Packers don't need his direct permission to trade him, at least not contractually.

• The NFL issued a $16,444 fine on Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady for attempting to trip Dallas Cowboys' Malik Hooker in the Wild Card Round. Brady says he plans to appeal the fine. "I didn't even hit him. I tried to trip him, but I didn't. So, I don't know how you can get fined for something that didn't even happen." Umm... baby, that's not how this works.
  

• The New England Patriots hired Bill O'Brien as their offensive coordinator on Tuesday, and quarterback Mac Jones is said to be "very excited" about the hire. Jones regressed big time in his second season, and O'Brien is a good fit.
  

• Davis Webb started at quarterback for the New York Giants in Week 18, and that may have been it for him. Webb is interested in moving to coaching, and many teams need help on the offensive side of the ball.
  

Giants’ backup QB Davis Webb, who was offered Buffalo’s QB coach job last off-season, has expressed interest in starting the transition from player to coach. After securing his first NFL start this season, Webb will consider making the jump to coaching for the right opportunity.
