If you've been living under a rock - Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott went down in Sunday's game with a gruesome broken ankle, had surgery right away, and is currently recovering at home. -deep breath-
As he's obviously missing the remainder of this season, the question is when will he be ready to return to action, and will it be with the Cowboys? Owner Jerry Jones stated earlier this morning on his radio show that he expects Prescott to return by the spring offseason program.
Jerry Jones is for sure not a doctor (and is severely out of touch), and who knows what uniform he will be in when he does return to action, but this is a reasonable timetable for Prescott. He's refused a team-friendly deal before, and with quarterback play around the league always dwindling, it's hard for me to believe he'll take one now. In the meantime, Cowboys plan to roll with andy dalton
Because all 2020 needed was Andy Dalton, he will now be the starting quarterback for the Cowboys, and the team does not plan to trade for a QB.
Dalton is not in the worst situation to be in when it comes to backup quarterbacks. While I'm not recommending running out to buy a Dalton Cowboys jersey, he can get it done in this trash division.
