Seattle Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor appeared to announce his retirement from the NFL on Sunday evening in a tweet, after suffering a season ending neck injury last season.
At just 30, Chancellor appeared in four Pro Bowls, and was a defining member of the Seahawks' Legion of Boom (no longer existent), which earned him a Super Bowl ring. While Chancellor was one of my favorite players to watch in today's NFL, it's clear this is the right decision for him. Neck injuries ain't no joke. Buzz-worthy:
