Quarterback Mac Jones is expected to start for the New England Patriots in Week 6, after being benched in back-to-back weeks. While most chalked Jones' weak showing in 2022 as a product of the offensive coordinator, Jones is continuing 2023 with poor performances. Backup QB Bailey Zappe has entered the game in place of Jones for the past two weeks.
Jones could be on the way out if he continues to under-perform. Part of the reason the Pats don't want to completely shun Jones this week is because (and this is my opinion) he will face his former offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. more qb news:
