Not accommodating his request

  • Things are getting ugly in Cleveland. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is rightfully pissed after the team made it known that they are looking elsewhere at the position and publicly made a run at Deshaun Watson. Mayfield released a statement that made many speculate that the two sides were on the brink of a split. Mayfield said he wanted a trade on Thursday and felt both sides would benefit if they moved on. The Browns then said they would NOT honor Mayfield's request for a trade. This is gonna be good.

Browns have told Baker Mayfield’s camp they are "not accommodating his request,” per source.

  • The Green Bay Packers traded star wideout Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, and it was pretty calculated. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was vocal about wanting Adams as part of why he wanted to stay in Green Bay, but now he'll be without that piece. Plot twist: Rodgers knew Adams wanted out when he signed his contract. This is a massive loss for the Packers, but let's not act like Rodgers still won't be a shoo-in for MVP.

While Aaron Rodgers was negotating his contract, he knew Davante Adams would never play for the #Packers again. The situation was too far gone. Something had to give. And when Adams informed GB he wasn’t playing on the tag, talks got fired up. Now, Adams will be on the #Raiders. https://t.co/YTAxHov0Rj

  • Deshaun Watson is now down to two teams looking for a new home. Watson is now picking between NFC South rivals Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. The Saints, however, have seemed to be the favorite. So we should find out where he lands soon.

The #Saints have been the favorite from the start. Now, an all-out blitz to try to close it out … and keep Watson from their NFC South rivals. https://t.co/tf75AjH6kO

  • Carson Wentz made his introduction with the Washington Commanders on Thursday, and I'm not even gonna talk about the suit he wore. After he missed the playoffs, the Indianapolis Colts traded Wentz to Washington ahead of free agency. Still, reports came out that the major downfall in the relationship was the lack of leadership on Wentz's end. Wentz was asked about his time with the Indianapolis Colts and what happened in the end. At least he gave an honest answer.

.@davidaldridgedc: "Why are you not still in Indy?"

Carson Wentz: "Sometimes I wonder the same, to be honest. I think it was a year that had highs and lows, ups and downs. But the way we finished, the way I finished, was horrible. It was horrible. It was tough to swallow."
