The first Arizona Cardinals player to opt out of the 2020 NFL season is right tackle Marcus Gilbert.
This is a big one in terms of team production. I fully expect quarterback Kyler Murray to have that "all-star sophomore season" that we've seen from guys like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson. Having your right tackle opt out could definitely put a damper on that. However, not only do I respect his decision, but Kliff Kingsbury is a guy that truly believes in the 'next-man-up' approach. Kyler can still have that season.
