Aaron Rodgers' first season with the New York Jets ended in four plays. An MRI confirmed on Tuesday that Rodgers completely tore his Achilles tendon, knocking him out for the season.
This will leave Zach Wilson as the starting quarterback for the remainder of the year. It also leaves the Green Bay Packers getting a 2024 second-round pick (instead of the first-rounder they would have received had Rodgers played 65 percent or more snaps in 2023).
The Jets officially placed Rodgers on injured reserve on Tuesday. more Qb news:
