will brady be who the nfl listens to when it comes to workout attendance?
As the feud between the NFL and the NFLPA continues on if players should or should not attend offseason workouts versus doing them virtually, someone who is bound to have everyone listen to him when he talks hopped on a conference call on Friday to express his views on the situation. Yep, the Golden Boy Tom Brady himself (the same one who went against COVID protocols last season and organized workouts with his Tampa Bay Bucs teammates when the NFL clearly stated that was a no-no) spoke on behalf of players to keep activities virtual.
As much shit as I'm talking about this, Brady did have a good point.
If it worked fine last season virtually, why can't it work this season? All NFL players work out every offseason anyway, regardless if they're posting Instagram videos or not. They don't need to show up to these things just to say they were there. stefon diggs says he played through a torn oblique in the postseason
You probably wouldn't have guessed it, but Buffalo Bills star wide receiver Stefon Diggs revealed this weekend that he played in the postseason with a torn oblique muscle. Diggs was listed as questionable for the Wild Card game against the Indianapolis Colts, which they won.
Diggs missed some practice time in the following leading up to the final two games but ended up having no official injury designation for those. Diggs still managed over 300 yards and two touchdowns in the postseason, despite the injury. Which sounds like it fucking hurts, to be honest. zach wilson already has his quote game down
The New York Jets held their rookie minicamp this past weekend, where the team (and media) got their first look at their second-overall pick Zach Wilson. Wilson was able to get some work in on the field and his first official media availability with Jets media, where he's already showing he's a Pro's Pro at the Quote Game.
When asked about the starting quarterback job, Wilson said all the right things, including this gem: "That position has to be earned. I have to do what I'm supposed to do. That'll take care of itself." I mean, who told this kid to say that? That being said, that job is pretty much Wilson's whether he earns it (or wants it) or not. hey did you guys know dk metcalf is fast?
Seattle Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf took to the track on Sunday, once again proving to us that he is, in fact, fast. Metcalf ran a 10.37-second 100-meter dash at the USATF Golden Games. I'm not gonna pretend like I know what that is. Metcalf ended up finishing last in the race, but that doesn't diminish the WOW factor.
