Cleveland Browns star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. commented before that he would not mind if the 2020 season did not happen. Despite questioning safety and the owners' grabs for money despite the pandemic (all valid concerns), Beckham has no plans to opt out of the season, as some others are doing.
These comments were made prior to Beckham reporting for testing/training camp and physically entering the Browns' facility. It's perfectly normal to feel apprehensive about something and then feel differently once faced with the reality, such as in this situation here. There's no doubt in my mind teams are doing all they can within their facilities to keep their players (their $$) safe here. But what happens when pads come on? What happens when players start doing drills? Having a safe facility and actually coming into close contact with others are two entirely different things here. I guess we will just have to wait and see on that one.
