The Browns are becoming a team we actually talk about

What is happening? Are the Cleveland Browns actually getting to the point where we are talking about them every week? Check my pulse.

The Browns not only scrubbed the floor with the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, but came away with quite a few things to talk about. Usually at this time of the year, they've already penciled in their No. 1 draft pick.

First - safety Damarious Randall handed the ball he just picked off to Bengals coach Hue Jackson. Backstory - Jackson was fired just weeks ago. What a fantastic own.

Then - quarterback Baker Mayfield friend-zoned Hue on the field after the game.

There's still more (this one isn't as funny in my opinion). Mayfield was asked after the game about his former coach, and while I really badly want to like Baker, I didn't like this quote. Imagine thinking that you should have any loyalty towards the team that fired you.

Anyway, that's where we are. We talk about the Browns a lot now.

extra points:

  • Baltimore Ravens HC John Harbaugh stated after Sunday's game that he might not name a starting QB this week. Joe Flacco should return to practice this week, based on what I've heard, and the team has a decision to make between him and rookie Lamar Jackson. Jackson did what he had to do against two bad teams at home (and proved me wrong while throwing a handful of passes Sunday) but do they trust him going forward during a playoff push? Can you really see Jackson going to Pittsburgh and winning, for example? I don't.
  • Plenty of Tennessee Titans spent their off-day before Thanksgiving giving back to their community of Nashville. C Ben Jones explained, "I love Nashville. I want to be part of it. And just to be able to be out here lend a helping hand is important. Some people got the short end of the straw, and we’re just happy out here to give somebody a meal and bless them tonight."
  • Bengals QB Andy Dalton left Sunday's game with a thumb injury, and was diagnosed with a sprain. Not that it matters, but he should have more tests done Monday to determine severity.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans became the youngest receiver with five 1,000-yard seasons on Sunday at 25 years old.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars RB Leonard Fournette was ejected from Sunday's game along with Buffalo Bills DE Shaq Lawson for throwing punches at each other. Fournette tweeted an apology, saying his "emotions got the best" of him.
  • It was a big story this weekend, but I didn't want to spend too much time on it because he's trash - San Francisco 49ers LB Reuben Foster was arrested (yep, again) for domestic violence at the team hotel in Tampa. Whatever happened to just getting dinner, chilling at the hotel, and lights out by 11pm? Foster was released by the Niners and if someone else picks him up, I will scream.
  • Los Angeles Chargers (I still wanna call them the San Diego Chargers) RB Melvin Gordon was injured in the third quarter of Sunday's game and tests following showed an MCL sprain.
  • The Pittsburgh Steelers lost in embarrassing fashion on Sunday, something we all hate to see! QB Ben Roethlisberger threw a pass to absolutely no one, and it was promptly picked off in the end zone to lose the game. Sad!
  • New England Patriots WR Cordarrelle Patterson grabbed New York Jets DL Henry Anderson by the balls - literally - on Sunday. His explanation? "I'm a grown man. I don't need no one's ass and dick and balls in my face." There goes your social life (10 points if you guess that movie).
  • Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr  not only lost Sunday, but he injured himself (again). Trainers taped up his ankle and he went right back in. It shouldn't keep him out, unfortunately.
