Star running back Melvin Gordon and the San Diego Los Angeles Chargers have been at war for months. And now it doesn't look like it's getting any better. General Manager Tom Telosco let reporters know on Sunday that all contract negotiations between themselves and Gordon would be set aside until the end of this season.
No one here really believes that's happening right? Gordon could play out his final year, but the more likely scenario is that he either finds a trade partner by Week 8, or sits the entire season, like Le'Veon Bell. The problem with this is that running backs unfortunately have so little leverage in these situations because they can be so easily replaceable. It's sad that the Chargers are going this route, as they're a better team with Gordon on it.
