We all (by we, I mean me) celebrate the Hall of Fame Game because it really means football is officially back and we no longer have to sit through baseball, golf, and if you're really desperate, NASCAR. In reality, the HOF game is boring as hell, makes me wanna claw my eyes out, and I usually fall asleep somewhere in the middle.
The highlight of this game should have been Joe Flacco vs. Matt Ryan, but because the NFL robbed me of great content and because no one in their right mind should play their starting QB in a HOF game, we got Kevin Hogan vs. Matt Schaub and I can't believe I just typed that, let alone watched it. The real highlight of this game was the fact that Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio coached the entire game while passing a kidney stone. WTFF? It's the HOF game my man not the Super Bowl. Fangio was in the hospital the majority of the day dealing with the issue and somehow didn't show a single shred of emotion or pain while on the sideline.
I've thankfully never had this kind of issue before or anything related, but I can imagine how medicated Fangio was last night. Fangio went on the win the meaningless game, as his opponent the Atlanta Falcons blew a fourth quarter lead (shocking, I know). Now hopefully he'll just piss that thing out right?
