The New York Jets have traded their 6th, 37th, and 49th picks for this year's draft, as well as a second-round pick in 2019's NFL Draft to the Indianapolis Colts for their number three pick. The Jets are finally getting a quarterback (we think).
It would seem that after years of dealing with the Ryan Fitzpatricks and Josh McCowns of the world, the Jets have finally put all their eggs in the "Young QB" basket. The Jets DID re-sign QB Josh McCown - picking him over others like Teddy Bridgewater - for a reason. New York did give up an awful lot for not being guaranteed the guy they want - but at number three they'll have plenty of young quarterbacks to choose from. The Colts also benefit from the trade, gaining a ton of picks for a ton of holes that the team currently has. They seem to be confident in their quarterback, Andrew Luck, and are missing plenty of talent at other positions. For what it's worth, I'm thinking the Jets go Baker. ---
