Time for the ravens' revenge game

I feel like I just watched some Baltimore Ravens football yesterday and now I get to watch more tonight. I'm not complaining. Tonight's game is the time when Baltimore gets to smack around Andy Dalton and the idiot Cincinnati Bengals for that Week 17 game last year. Andy and Tyler Boyd are on my shit list forever for that. When asked about the game, CB Brandon Carr shared my sentiments. "If I were to say no, I'd be lying," Carr said. "We've still got that bitter taste in our mouths."

Coach John Harbaugh added that it would extra motivation. "You always want to redeem yourself as best as you can, certainly, but it’s not going to factor into who wins the game. It’s not going to matter in the outcome. You still have to play better than your opponent on that day, and that’s really what we have to focus on. You could easily get all wrapped up in that and get distracted from what matters, which is going out there Thursday night and playing well.”

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Drop 50 on 'em.

buzz-worthy:

  • "Thousands" of tickets remain unsold for the Washington Redskins' home opener on Sunday. Hahahahahahahaahahaaaaaa. Dan Snyder deserves this. Apparently the past 210 home games have sold out. No one believes that. Not even Redskins fans believe that.
  • In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, the Baltimore Ravens put RB Kenneth Dixon on injured reserve on Tuesday after being hurt in Sunday's game. He's one of the (many) recent players on this team who can't seem to stay on the field to save their lives.
  • Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota was hurt (shocker) in Sunday's game, but coach Mike Vrabel says he's feeling good and should be good to  play Sunday. Not sure at this time if that's a good or a bad thing.
  • The Ravens killed Nathan Peterman. Finally, the Buffalo Bills do something right and announce that QB Josh Allen will start for Week Two, ending the one week Peterman experiment.
  • Hold your eyes in before they roll out of your head. Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger says his elbow is bruised but "it just got hit" and is "fine." Translation: "I made a big deal out of something on purpose because I had a terrible game and needed an excuse."
  • Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford also insists he's "good to go" for this week after throwing a million interceptions on Monday night.
  • The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Tuesday that Nick Foles will start at QB again this week, holding off on the Carson train for at least another week. Wentz still hasn't been medically cleared to play.
  • After resurrecting like Jesus Christ, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is calling his injury a "sprained knee." He mentioned that he didn't take any pain meds. HARDOOOOOO
  • As expected (sorta) the Oakland Raiders have re-signed WR Martavis Bryant after a weird AF situation.
  • Los Angeles Chargers DE Joey Bosa is week-to-week with a bone bruise in his foot and probably will be for a while after getting a second opinion. Bosa missed all of preseason in addition to Week One.
