Kyler Murray hurt his ankle towards the end of last week's loss, and didn't practice on Wednesday for the Arizona Cardinals. Murray had some extra time to rest this week, but it's still not known if he will be available in Week Nine.
panthers
Speaking of quarterbacks who got hurt last week, Sam Darnold practiced on a limited basis for the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. Head coach Matt Rhule said he was on the "extremely limited" side as he recovers from a concussion.
seahawks
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson got the pin out of his broken finger on Monday, and is already (of course) posting videos of himself throwing a football. The team still doesn't have a return date for him, but based on this video (and more importantly, his ability to grip the football) it should be sooner rather than later.

The Arizona Cardinals had the weekend off after playing the Green Bay Packers Thursday night. Those couple of days will probably largely benefit Kyler Murray. Murray sprained his ankle towards the end of Thursday's game, and it's been kind of a wait-and-see situation as far as his availability goes for Week Nine.
cowboys
Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush won on Sunday night while starter Dak Prescott healed from an injury, throwing two touchdowns and an interception. While he started off shaky, Rush got into a rhythm and began look comfortable. "I felt like I belonged out there. You're in the huddle, breaking the o-line, going through your processes. It didn't feel overwhelming at all."
saints
With their starting quarterback Jameis Winston going down in Sunday's game with a season-ending knee injury, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is non-committal on bringing in another quarterback. The team has Trevor Siemian, Taysom Hill, and rookie Ian Book on deck.
49ers
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo proved a lot of people wrong on Sunday in front of his hometown crowd. But Jimmy G was the first to say that the win was not about him. "I think our team just needed a win. Losing four in a row like that, you've got to do something about it. I think our guys did."
Dolphins
Hopefully we will have an end to this soon. I'm tired of hearing about it and tired of talking about it. Now that that's out of the way, Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was once again asked about the potential Deshaun Watson trade happening this week, and he once again was mum in his response. "I basically answer [this question] every day the same way. Tua is our quarterback."
seahawks
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson wants to be back as soon as he possibly can (and that's probably a good idea.) He took a big step towards that goal on Monday, as he got his pin removed from his injured finger.

chase edmonds runs for the first score
After a boring first quarter, the Arizona Cardinals were finally able to get on the board. After a would-be 61-yard touchdown from DeAndre Hopkins, Chase Edmonds was able to get the Cards into the end zone, bringing them to a 7-0 lead.
packers get on the board, too
The Green Bay Packers were able to put some points on the board in the second quarter to answer the Cardinals' trick play. While it wasn't as exciting, Green Bay had a third-and-one from the two-yard line. Aaron Jones was able to run it in to tie the game.
a muffed punt leads to a packers fg
Rondale Moore is going to want this one back. While it was debated whether or not Moore touched the ball, the officials ruled that it hit off his finger, and the Packers got the ball at Arizona's three-yard line. Green Bay was able to get a field goal on this drive, heading into halftime with a 10-7 lead.
a murray int leads to a cobb td
Moore is going to want this one back too. Kyler Murray had a pass bounce off Moore's hands, which later lead to a touchdown for the Packers. Randall Cobb caught a two-yard touchdown, which put Green Bay up 17-7.
cardinals answer with a touchdown of their own
Arizona was able to answer with a touchdown of their own from James Conner. The running back was able to run it in from the two-yard line, making it a three-point game.
Packers win on last play
Speaking of wanting games back, AJ Green is going to want this one back. Not sure what he was seeing, but Murray threw a perfect touchdown which would have been the game-winner. Instead, Rasul Douglas intercepted Murray in the end zone, gifting the Packers a 24-21 win over Arizona. And their first loss of the season.

ravens
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was absent from practice again on Thursday, making it the second straight practice missed. While it was said that he was just dealing with some back soreness, it is somewhat alarming that he's missing yet another day of work. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman gave an update on his status.
cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals are currently undefeated, and a lot of that is due to quarterback Kyler Murray. While he's currently being talked about within the ever-elusive "MVP Conversation," Murray says he's not really thinking about that right now. "It's a long season, and I was always raised and taught that if you win as a team, the individual accolades will come. That's how I treated it in high school, that's how I treated it when I won the Heisman, same thing for now. I'm not really worried about MVP or anything like that."
washington
Earlier this week, Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera said that he wants quarterback Taylor Heinicke to calm down a little bit and focus on managing the game better. In other words: Stop doing too much. Heinicke says he takes no issue with Rivera's comments. "I have no problem with it. That's what every quarterback should be - game manager. You take what's there, take what's given, and you move the ball down the field."
falcons
I know he's supposed to say this stuff, but Washington Football Team head coach Ron Rivera is really buttering up his opponent for next week. Rivera kind of over-did it when it came to talking about Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. "I mean, this is a savvy guy, this is a guy that's been doing it a long time and has had a lot of success. He's a league MVP. So you know, he's a really good football player. He's got a good arm. He still makes all the throws. He is a little older, but with that comes wisdom and experience. And that's what you see from Matt." Is it, though?
raiders
Oh no. Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr had some strong words to say about this week's game against the Los Angeles Chargers and I'm just going to leave them here and call it a jinx. "It was always looked at as another home game and that's no disrespect, it's a fact. The way you practice, the way you meet, it felt like a home game. I fully expect Raider Nation to take over the majority of the stadium again. They usually do." Oh no.
