seahawks
Russell Wilson is medically cleared to return this week for the Seattle Seahawks and of course he had to announce it himself. Wilson posted this video on Twitter, indicating that himself and his finger should be ready to take on the Packers in Week Ten.
packers
Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Jordan Love didn't have the best Sunday, and it began (or continued) to spark questions of if Love is genuinely the Packers' future. Head coach Matt LaFleur isn't blaming Love for having to be ready at the last minute. "I thought Jordan, I was really proud of the way he played. He hung in there; he was taking hits and delivering the ball. I thought he did a really good job."
patriots
There is a new New England Patriots controversy among us. Quarterback Mac Jones appeared to twist Carolina Panthers defensive end Brian Burns' ankle after a sack. However, head coach Bill Belichick says he thinks Jones was just trying to pursue the ball and didn't intentionally twist Burns' ankle. I tend to side with Belichick, even though the video does look kinda bad. Jones later agreed, saying he was just trying to make a tackle on Burns.
lions
Detroit Lions backup Tim Boyle is being designated for return from injured reserve and should practice this week. With the way things are going for the Lions (and specifically, starter Jared Goff), it's not out of the question to wonder if we could see Boyle (or fellow backup David Blough) on the field soon.
Panthers
Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold suffered a concussion and shoulder injury last week and went for an MRI on Monday to check on the status of the same shoulder. Darnold did not have his best day Sunday, and head coach Matt Rhule was not committing to Darnold yet in Week Ten.
jets
Zach Wilson is expected to practice this week for the New York Jets, but his status is still very much up in the air. Mike White is looking more like the assumed starter (although that could change in the coming days), as head coach Robert Saleh says they don't want to rush Wilson back too soon.

cardinals
Kyler Murray hurt his ankle towards the end of last week's loss, and didn't practice on Wednesday for the Arizona Cardinals. Murray had some extra time to rest this week, but it's still not known if he will be available in Week Nine.
panthers
Speaking of quarterbacks who got hurt last week, Sam Darnold practiced on a limited basis for the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. Head coach Matt Rhule said he was on the "extremely limited" side as he recovers from a concussion.
seahawks
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson got the pin out of his broken finger on Monday, and is already (of course) posting videos of himself throwing a football. The team still doesn't have a return date for him, but based on this video (and more importantly, his ability to grip the football) it should be sooner rather than later.

cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals had the weekend off after playing the Green Bay Packers Thursday night. Those couple of days will probably largely benefit Kyler Murray. Murray sprained his ankle towards the end of Thursday's game, and it's been kind of a wait-and-see situation as far as his availability goes for Week Nine.
cowboys
Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush won on Sunday night while starter Dak Prescott healed from an injury, throwing two touchdowns and an interception. While he started off shaky, Rush got into a rhythm and began look comfortable. "I felt like I belonged out there. You're in the huddle, breaking the o-line, going through your processes. It didn't feel overwhelming at all."
saints
With their starting quarterback Jameis Winston going down in Sunday's game with a season-ending knee injury, New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton is non-committal on bringing in another quarterback. The team has Trevor Siemian, Taysom Hill, and rookie Ian Book on deck.
49ers
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo proved a lot of people wrong on Sunday in front of his hometown crowd. But Jimmy G was the first to say that the win was not about him. "I think our team just needed a win. Losing four in a row like that, you've got to do something about it. I think our guys did."
Dolphins
Hopefully we will have an end to this soon. I'm tired of hearing about it and tired of talking about it. Now that that's out of the way, Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was once again asked about the potential Deshaun Watson trade happening this week, and he once again was mum in his response. "I basically answer [this question] every day the same way. Tua is our quarterback."
seahawks
Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson wants to be back as soon as he possibly can (and that's probably a good idea.) He took a big step towards that goal on Monday, as he got his pin removed from his injured finger.

Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins essentially bet the farm for quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, and then they didn't exactly get the result they wanted (at least not yet). While rumors swirl about a potential trade for Deshaun Watson, head coach Brian Flores says he still sees improvement in Tagovailoa as the season progresses. "I think he's getting better every time he steps on the field. I think he's pushing the ball down the field more; he's making better decisions. I think he's making quicker decisions. I think he's doing a lot of things. Look, it's a small sample size, but every time he steps out there, I see progress."
seahawks
With no Russell Wilson in the picture currently, the Seattle Seahawks have to pull all their eggs in backup Geno Smith's basket. Of course, things could be worse, but Smith isn't exactly blowing folks away here. Head coach Pete Carroll said on Tuesday that they don't really have any other choice at the moment, and Smith is still the starter. "He's managing the game well. I would like him to get the football out, be more open to throw the ball away. We talked about it in the locker room after the game."
