The moment we've all been waiting for - we finally know who will be starting for the Washington Commanders going forward. Head coach Ron Rivera announced on Wednesday that quarterback Taylor Heinicke will start for the team in Week 11 against the Houston Texans.
Carson Wentz is still on injured reserve with a finger injury, but he is eligible to resume throwing. It's unclear whether Heinicke will remain the starter for the remainder of the season, or if it's just next week.
In my personal opinion, I think Heinicke has more than earned it. The offense plays better with him, and his record (3-1 as a starter) shows it. He'll get a gimme game against the Texans, but beating the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles was a huge momentum shift for the Commanders. more qb news:

The Washington Commanders beat the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night, which sparked questions that have been brewing for a few weeks: Should Taylor Heinicke keep the starting job? Will Carson Wentz, the intended starter, get his job back? Wentz is currently on injured reserve but is set to return soon. The Commanders' offense is playing better with Heinicke. Washington is 3-1 when Heinicke starts, compared to just 2-4 under Wentz. The Commanders will also have to give up a second-round pick to the Indianapolis Colts if Wentz plays 70 percent of snaps. It's a no-brainer for me. Head coach Ron Rivera spoke on Tuesday and did not name a starter for Week 11.

Mystery has surrounded Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen after he suffered an elbow injury in Sunday's game. While rumors swirled that he had a UCL injury that may end his season (and, therefore, potentially the Bills' season), the team got good news on Wednesday that Allen is considered day-to-day and will be questionable for Week 10's game.
Head coach Sean McDermott said Allen will not practice today (Wednesday), and while it doesn't seem promising for this week, at least his season isn't over. Day-to-day is definitely better than week-to-week.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game. Tannehill missed last week's game with an ankle injury. He traveled to Kansas City with the team.
Rookie QB Malik Willis would be in line to start if Tannehill cannot go. Willis started last week's game.

The Philadelphia Eagles remain the lone unbeaten team in the NFL with a 29-17 win over the Houston Texans.
Quaterback Jalen Hurts completed 20 of 26 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns, including this one to tight end Dallas Goedert.

The Cleveland Browns ended their four-game losing streak against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. While Cincy was missing star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, the offensive line was god awful and Joe Burrow had a horrible night as a result. The Browns sacked Burrow five times, intercepted him once and forced a fumble.
On the flip side, Browns QB Jacoby Brissett ran for a touchdown and threw for 278 yards, while Nick Chubb and Amari Cooper both had highlight-reel days.
more QB News:
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was the better QB during Thursday Night Football, but only if you point to the second half. After a shaky start, Jackson ended up going 27-of-38 passes for 238 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-22 win over Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
And it's not a Lamar Jackson Game without a Lamar Jackson Run.
other QB news:
The Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins were scheduled to have two days of joint practices ahead of Saturday's final preseason matchup. Not anymore! Due to a stomach bug and players barfing everywhere, Thursday's practice has been canceled, and teams will meet virtually.

We all know the history between the Cleveland Browns and Odell Beckham Jr. (and his dad). The common denominator amongst that drams was quarterback Baker Mayfield, and now that it looks like Mayfield will not be a Brown come 2022, is there a chance Beckham could return to Cleveland? It's not such a crazy idea, according to reports stating that the team has discussed his return. Beckham also has had interest from the New Orleans Saints and his most recent team, the Los Angeles Rams.
